Is that what you think or can you prove it?
It happens in almost all discussions, at home or elsewhere: that somebody says “that’s just what you think” and you start wondering whether that is true, or that you do have good reasons to be sure of what you said, and that you can prove that you’re right.
Here are some examples which may help you to find out where the fine lines run between thinking, believing, being sure and proving.
